Royal Rajasthan on Wheels has come up with yet another travel option that will take guests on an extended itinerary across the heritage destinations in north and central India. The 7N/8D itinerary of the luxury train has been specifically designed to enable guests a taste of the royalty of India. Tour Day 01

Sunday: Delhi, Safdarjung

On arrival at Delhi airport or railway station, our representative will meet you displaying your name card and you will be transferred to a guest house for refreshment. You can set out Delhi sightseeing tour till afternoon. Explore all the attractions of Old Delhi and New Delhi.


At the scheduled time you will be transferred to the Safdarjung Railway Station. Receive the warm welcome of the staff that garlands you and places tikka on forehead. After all boarding formalities the Train will leave for Jodhpur, the next destination. Welcome drink is served. Dinner on board.

Tour Day 02

Monday: Jodhpur

In the early morning Royal Rajasthan on Wheels reaches Jodhpur. After having breakfast
in the train you will explore the city. This is the second largest city of Rajasthan and also known as Sun City
or Blue City. Located on the edge of the Thar Desert Jodhpur offers the desert landscapes. Once the Marwar Rajputs had their princely state in Jodhpur. The must see attractions are the Mehrangarh Fort, the royal cenotaph and the gardens and polo grounds. The museum of the Fort houses a wide variety of royal artifacts. There are also desert villages located near Jodhpur which are repositories of art and culture.


Lunch is served at Umaid Bhawan Hotel/Palace. This gorgeous building was once the private residence of the royal family. One part of the palace is converted into a heritage hotel now. At the scheduled time return back to the train and it will leave for Udaipur.

Tour Day 03

Tuesday: Udaipur – Chittorgarh

On the third day of Royal Rajasthan Tour, the Train reaches Udaipur in the early morning. After breakfast you will explore
Udaipur is a romantic city flanked by three lakes. The marble palaces and temples whisper the tales of the royal kingdoms of the Mewar Rajputs. The Ghats of the Lake Pichola are happening places. You will visit all the attractions of the city, such as Sahelon- Ki Bari Garden, City Palace and Crystal Gallery. Explore the colorful markets of Udaipur where you can purchase lots of souvenirs.


At 4 pm Royal Rajasthan leaves for Chittorgarh city which houses the largest fort of India. It was earlier known as Chittor and the capital of Mewar. The fort is a tribute to the medieval chivalry and sacrifice where the Mewar rulers and their people prefer death than surrendering to the Muslim invaders. On arrival, explore the majestic fort and its palaces. The palaces of king and queen are stunning with mirror art works. The fort museum houses lots of royal things. In the evening enjoy the Light and Sound Show which dramatizes the story of bravery and chivalry.

Tour Day 04

Wednesday: Swai Madhopur – Jaipur

At 5 am the train reaches Sawai Madhopur. All the guests go on a jungle safari in the Ranthambore National Park. This Park is onetime hunting ground of the Jaipur maharajas. Mainly known for tigers, Ranthambore is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. After Jungle safari board the train and it leaves for Jaipur around 10 am.


On arrival at Jaipur station, get off. Then explore the pink city. Known for imperial glory, Jaipur is the first planned city of India with laid our gardens, buildings and temples. The pink sandstone beauty of Jaipur thrills the tourists. The major attractions you will explore today are Amber Fort, one of the architectural marvels of Rajputs, the royal residence City palace, the surreal astronomical observatory Jantar Mantar, Albert Hall Museum and the thriving bazaars.


Dinner at a five star hotel. You can have a night view of the pink city. Board the train and it leaves for Khajuraho located in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

After lunch at a royal Palace hotel, return to the Palace on Wheels.

Tour Day 05

Thursday: Khajuraho (M.P.)

Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Tour takes you to Khajuraho in the early morning. This World Heritage Site is one of the must see attractions in India. The erotica of Khajuraho are always an attraction to the art lovers.


Khajuraho temples are superb examples of art and architecture. The erotic sculptures of the temples depict the erotica of divine figures as well as human passions. Erotica symbolizes here the force of life. The temples were constructed in between 950 AD to 1050 AD. The Eastern set houses the Jain temples which have superb sculpture and carvings. The western groups of temples are fine specimen of Chandela art. The must see temples are Kandariya Mahadev Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva as also the Chaunsath Yogini Temple which is dedicated to the 64 Yoginis.

After Khajuraho temple visit, Royal Rajasthan would leave for Varanasi, the Hindu holy city.

Tour Day 06

Friday: Varanasi (U.P.)

The Train arrives at Varanasi station in the early morning. This city is considered as one of the oldest surviving cities of the world. It is the quintessential city of India with river Ghats, temples, curio shops, and many more. Millions of tourists visit this city throughout the year. This is the only religious city of India which has an Indian and cosmopolitan charm.


Enjoy boat ride to have a glimpse of the devotees and sadhus. You will also explore the temples. Then you will visit Sarnath, the Buddhist pilgrimage site located near Varanasi. Buddha delivered his first sermon at Sarnath. The attractions are temples and museums.
Royal Rajasthan would leave for Agra at 6 pm. Dinner on board.

Tour Day 07

Saturday: Agra (U.P.)

After having breakfast on board, you go out to explore the Agra City. The whole day is reserved for Agra Sightseeing tour. Onetime Mughal capital, Agra has a medieval charm. The main attractions are the marvelous Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Baby Taj, and Tomb of Emperor Akbar. The local markets have lots of things from leather wares to marble products. When you visit Taj you feel why Taj is marvelous and why it attracts millions of tourists from across the globe. It is because of that Taj is made for love. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built Taj to immortalize his love for Mumtaj Mahal. Lunch is served at a restaurant of five star hotel.
The train leaves for Delhi at 11 pm.

Tour Day 08

Sunday: Delhi

The Royal Rajasthan on Wheels Tour comes to an end today. As the train reaches Safdarjung Railway Station, you will get off. Our representative receives you and takes care of you.
